Edge control, or Edge tamer, is basically a styling gel, but typically a lot less fluid than a traditional gel. In many cases, the consistency is more like a mix between a gel and a pomade. Its purpose is more for the hair along the hair line, or some fly away hair that you may have. We would recommend using a tool with soft bristles. When you apply any kind of edge control to your hairline, you want to ensure your hair is dry because we have found that edge control actually works best when applied to clean, dry hair. The gel gives the hair the right amount of moisture to set it into place. Usually, at mid day your hair will get fly away strands if you applied edge control to wet hair. Section out the area of the edges you want to slick or lay down. We recommend pulling back and securing the rest of your hair, before you start on your edges. We would recommend that you get an edge brush, a comb, or even toothbrush. Dip it into the product, and begin applying it to the hairline. It isn't a requirement, but we also recommend that you tie a silk scarf around the perimeter of your head while your get dressed or while you are asleep, to make sure your edge control sets your edges in to place. Our edge control promotes growth, and holds edges firmly in place. There are no flakes when applied properly. The product actually does work, it is a really good edge control. We would not go on record and say this edge control will hold for an entire 24hrs because no edge control does that. This edge control has a yellowish tint but it goes on clear and transparent. The black edge control we offer is not as firm. The black is more for the people who are trying to make the edges look fuller. Your hair should feel healthy and look shiny. It also has a pleasant smell. You can get the clear or black in mini, 2oz, or 4oz sizes. We hope this helps, and be sure to continue to do your research, because you may also see some other edge controls that you feel work better for you, and we want what's best for you, even if it's not our product. We hope this helps!
